John Cusack built this home in 1906. He was an important figure in Wellington's history. Cusack managed the First National Bank of Wellington. He believed Wellington was destined to become Northern Colorado's gateway.

In the 1950's, the Twin Spruce Inn was located here. Fried chicken was a specialty item on the menu.
In 2004, Illa Drohman purchased the home and relocated her salon and day spa to this location.
Today, the house has overgone many renovations and is home base for one of Wellington's best Salons and Day Spas.
